My focus

My coaching centres around key areas that empower individuals and teams to thrive:

By focusing on these areas, I empower you to enhance your effectiveness and achieve lasting success in both your personal and professional life.

Together, we’ll create a tailored approach that empowers you to thrive

My background & qualifications

With over 20 years' experience spanning entrepreneurship, leadership, education and music, I help leaders and teams thrive - at work and in life.

Since 2014, I've relished the challenge of entrepreneurship, founding three small businesses, most recently Ruth Morgan Coaching. I'm an accredited coach with Distinctions in two diplomas - Corporate & Executive Coaching and Life Coaching - and hold specialisations in High Performance Teams, Confidence Coaching, and Advanced DISC training. All are fully accredited by the International Coaching Federation and the Association for Coaching, of which I'm a member.

My coaching is grounded in two decades of real-world leadership and education experience. I hold a PGCE and have worked across both formal and informal education settings, most recently as a Senior Leader at Portsmouth Music Hub, specialising in Music, Inclusion and Early Years.

Earlier in my career, five formative years in the charity sector - including fundraising and events management for national and international organisations - gave me an invaluable foundation in resilience, people skills and delivering under pressure.

Whether I'm coaching an individual or developing a high-performing team, my drive is the same: helping people build resilience, energy and sustainable high performance.

“It’s not what happens to you, but how you react to it that matters.”

~ Epictetus, Greek philosopher

Personal challenges and my coaching philosophy

Everyone encounters personal challenges that shape their resilience and growth. Life is filled with obstacles, and my own journey has underscored the significance of maintaining a positive mindset and cultivating self-awareness.

Some of my experiences include facing redundancy at age twenty three, supporting close family members with chronic illnesses, navigating through restructurings in three different organisations, coping with the loss of loved ones, and overcoming a debilitating frozen shoulder.

Each of these experiences has taught me invaluable lessons about adaptability, perseverance, and the importance of a positive mindset. These challenges have not only influenced my journey and been a stark reminder that life is precious, but also fuelled my passion for coaching and mentoring, as I aim to help others navigate their own obstacles and emerge stronger.

During my recovery from a frozen shoulder, I experienced a lightbulb moment: I wanted to help others move forward and be their best selves. This exploration of my Ikigai—understanding my purpose, strengths, passions, values and the needs of the world—set me on the path to becoming a Leadership & Business Performance Coach & Mentor.

Since then, I have been energised by the transformative power of coaching and mentoring, excited to help others find their momentum and live fulfilling lives.

My philosophy centres on the idea that everyone has the potential to grow and thrive, and I am here to guide you on that journey.
